New DKP system

Everyone will start with the same amount of DKP, the first time you come you will automaticly get 10 DKP to start.

DKP will be awarded for kara
+ 5 for registering in forum
+ 1 for turning up on time.
+ 1 for every hour spent in there.
+ 3 for bosses killed.
+ 5 for guild first kills.

- 10 for failing a raid, u were signed for
- 10 Epic boss drops
- 5 Epic Trash drops
- 5 for leaving the raid sooner

Everyone will start on 5 DKP! so everyone has a fair chance in start.

So how this will work?

We will be raiding twice a week at the beggining. To be able to join the kara raid grp, u hav to be registered in forum, and reply in the appropriate thread (named "Kara Raid Group"). U'll earn points this simple way.

When we get a boss, there will be epic drops. Imagine that we get a epic shield and both our tanks will want it? The tank with more dkp will get it. If both tanks hav same dkp, a roll will be needed. The lucky guy getting the shield, will pay 10 dkp for the drop, so next time the other tank will probably hav more dkp and get the drop.

Starting from now, i will do the tracking. Ofc, i will need help sooner or later. Think this is fair and a way to all ppl hav a rite to loot. And also giver us wat we need more. Organization.

Done. It was not my idea. It's Lyt idea. I will add ppl to the system when they join a 1st grp.

Indeed a fair system and not just up to a lucky/un-lucky roll of the dices.

If someone outside the guild joins they just need-roll and we still need-roll and "pay", right?

still use DKP for KZ or is it long gone? If it isn't I would like to say that imo dkp for KZ isn't a good idea, not enough players per run for it to be a big deal imo Very Happy but that might just be me Very Happy

agree on that...imo only 25-man raids should be DKP..

May I also come with the suggestion to use a DKP system called Suicide Kings Geo (SKG) SKG

What this loot system does is that it spends all your DKP every time you "buy" an item. This way there will not be any loot whores with 1gazillion dkp who can outbid everyone all the time. And this way a casual gamer (pvp'er) can get some items aswell.

Spoke to you about this on vent/ts titties a while back if i remember right... i need to have a think about this, because although it seems like good idea, beneath the veneer i think it still has problems... i wouldn't like someone like a priest/war/druid that turns up every raid be out done by a random that has turned up to the raid on the rare drop of a defender gear item just because they bidded and won a trash drop before the boss...

at the moment my thinking is... if the DKP numbers are set right people are not going to have billions of DKP... also the reason it happens in many other guilds is due to ZA loot, this guild hasn't been in there yet, which is a bonus

But people who are top of the DKP list are normally the ones who have put the hard work in and spent quite a bit of gold on elixirs etc... so they kind of deserve to be there - but this added with the need of loot by everyone (due to no za yet) and DKP numbers set right - it might work

I would like peoples ideas though

I agree with Lypt here.
If you put more effort/time/gold in your char, you deserve to have more DKP then someone who only comes online for raids without having consumeables etc.
Although we don't need DKP for the Instances we have on farm.

I think a dkp system where all the dkp is spent on one drop is as someone has mentioned a bit flawed in my opinion.
The best way to make sure you dont have a loot whore is a dkp cap, or you can do a system where everyones dkp decreases by a certain percenttage (say 5%?) at the end of every raid week, this makes sure everyone always turns up for raids and its harder for people to squirrel away dkp.

A good dkp addon that I used to use is http://www.webdkp.com/ its got an ingame addon and only people who are going to be dishing out dkp need to download it. It also automatically syncs up to an external site where everyone can see exactly how much dkp they have and how much dkp all the gear costs.

The downside is that you have to write down how much dkp all the items cost yourself which can be a pain in the ass if you dont have an armour specific dkp system (helmets cost so much, staffs cost so much etc).
