Want to see 25 man?

I would really really like to see Blood Brothers go to 25 man soon (when we have recruited and ‘tested’ more people) and get everyone to experience what it is like and… since I just had a day of doing absolutely nothing at work, I thought I’d write a little about what I have learnt from my raiding experience in general and a few boss tactics made really simple for everyone (because they really are simple!)

I have previously raided on Lypia (Holy Priest) and progressed from gearing up in Kara, to having Gruul, Maggy, Serpentshrine Cavern, Tempest Keep and most of Mount Hyjal on farm – 3 bosses in Black Temple were also downed and tamed very quickly too. So I hope I can bring some useful info to our raids and make them fun! It also means I can see everything from a healing perspective too and really do know how bloody hard it can be sometimes lol!!

If there is one thing I have found, bosses are ALL about tactics – full T6 groups can, and still, wipe and die very quickly in Kara… I’ve wiped twice in a row on opera in a T5/T6 group that has cleared ZA with ease because people ignored tactics since they thought their gear was too good for them… I also wiped 6 times in a row on Prince due to people having about the same awareness of infernals than a 6 month old baby trying to play WOW … we went down so quick it was stupid lol! Also… ask Titties about the time we wiped in normal Mana Tombs in T5 gear lol! – no joke

If tactics are done right bosses will go down so easily its laughable – imo having a look at tactics and videos and then finally having a go on the boss is the fun part of raiding. If tactics are followed and bosses don’t go down then it’s a gear thing, which imo is no problem at all

It is with gear that raiding progress takes some time – fortunately this time has basically been cut in half with the new badge vendor wayhay!! Which means we can all be imba pretty quick if we get some badges together! The badges vendor cloth healing legs for example have better mana regeneration than T6… awesome!

Many of the bosses are a DPS race before the healers run out of mana, and for this reason the DPS should always try to squeeze out as much as they can – if as a DPS you can squeeze another 50 DPS out on a boss and we bring 14 DPS, that would mean an extra 700 overall – its like bringing another person!!

It is for this reason that people really need to look at their specs, gems and enchants. Try a search on Google to see if there is a forum for your class anywhere where people are discussing the best things to have… I know as a Tankadin I would be lost without my forums! Also post them in the class sections if you find one!!

It should really be bared in mind that as a DPS or healer if you want to PVP as well, your spec will really have to be PVE ONLY at raids (sorry!) and your classleader will no doubt be checking you out at raids (without you knowing :p) to make sure people are not slacking on their specs – its all about squeezing out that last little bit of DPS – so talents that involve you being hit should not be taken, as the idea is the Tank is the only one that does

This is also the same with gems and enchants – gems and enchants should really be focused on hit rating if you are a DPS… look at any T6 rogue and I will put £500 on the fact almost all gems will be +8 or 10 hit rating only. Hit rating/Spell hit changes with what class you are and whether you have 2 x 1 handed weapons or a 2h weapon – I’ll post a specific post on this, but remember that hit is more important than any +dmg… I know as a frost mage that if a mob resists you on say 2 attacks in a row, that could well be 7k dmg (2 x Crits) missed out at end Kara lvl, which is annoying when your trying to get top of the DPS meter…
Any questions about spec, gems or enchants try forum posts and afterwards try and get hold of your classleader or me via mail or whisper – I’d love to see every DPS trying to get top of the DPS chart as well as being low on threat – if so we will no doubt be 1 shotting bosses - it would be awesome!

What is also important at 25 man level is that everyone in the raid should be fully buffed – Buffs/Food Buffs/Oils/Both Elixirs or Flask… if not your cutting your hp/mana/dps/healing/avoidance all short and if wipes happen on 1% (which really does happen quite a lot) then it really is down to that, people earn loads of money by doing dailies now and we do have alchemists (all masteries) that can make them for us all so people should never be without really

We, even in normal lvl 70 instances, should be striving to get firstly the boss down, then secondly, be top of the DPS, or healing done (alongside not top of overhealing done :p) – buffs are only going to help with that and everyone loves a bit of competition!

Remember raids are all about having a look at boss tactics beforehand, it only takes 1 person to not know what to do and it’s a wipe party…

(It goes without saying that that all people should also be on Teamspeak – even if you have no microphone, I’ll be talking through tactics during the fight and they can change very quickly… ie. Imagine if Shade of Aran was 25 man…if no-one was on Teamspeak do you reckon all 25 people would remember to stay still in the flame part :s )

Lets get this forum moving with people posting in the class forums etc… we will no doubt have a lot of info to share I reckon

macros for all classes incoming in the next couple of days.. I will put these into the class specific threads.. And I'll give my secrets to druid tanking hehe
and ofc a few little nifty things for other tanks. All questions about macros/addons can be given to me and I'll see what I can do

I'll post some usefull stuff in the rogue section aswell.

I have compiled a small list of buff food / pots / elixirs that should be used during encounters, thus helping people to get around. Anyway, we all know how much this varies from class to class, and from spec to spec.

I'l try to post soon what i have wrote on paper, and i would ask for help on replying to that forum to new suggestions, so we can edit the main post for quicker checking

also i have made a post myself on buffs ect... under 'raid MUST haves' - this needs to be read by all, since if not all buffs are on, your chance of getting loot diminishes due to lack of DKP
