I really do suggest that all healers use the 2 add-ons ‘Grid’ and ‘Clique’ to help them heal in not only 25 man, but also 10 man raids

Using these two add-ons will allow you to see who needs healing and heal them without having to change target – especially handy since you can target the boss and see its % health or, if a priest, keep a target CCed and heal without changing your shackle target. It is possible to use healbot too, but imo Grid displays so much more information, can be adapted a lot more to what you like the look of and is much more compact.

Grid will put all players into a handy little box – it can tell you:

who has aggro
who is taking damage, how much, what heals are incoming from other players
who is low on mana/health
who is out of range
who needs de-spelling, decursing

It can also do a lot more if you set it up in more detail – its up to you, but that is all I have showing.

Clique is an add-on that allows you to assign clicks to the boxes on grid… for example, if you make ‘Left Mouse Button’ a Flash Heal – if you click on a players box in grid with that button it will cast Flash Heal without you having to change target at all

It also allows you to assign combinations – ‘Left Shift + Left Mouse Button’ is my Prayer of Mending on Lypia for example…

I have a 5 button mouse, Left, Middle (scroll button), Right and 2 Side Buttons, my spell assigning might seem complicated, but I only started with 4 and added them as I went along since different fights need different spells (it is very rare I need to use all spells in 1 fight)… and yes I do forget some quite often lol!

Left Button – Flash Heal
Middle Button – Renew
Right Button - Greater Heal
Button 4 – Shield
Button 5 – Dispel Magic
Left Button + Left Shift – Prayer of Mending
Right Button + Left Shift – Circle of Healing
Button 5 + Left Shift – Fear Ward

Who the hell said healing was boring and easy!!! Healers are the backbone of any raid – if good we as a raid are imba, if poorly skilled and don’t know all the tactics for every player we go down ultra quick…. Good luck (Luckily gear is easier to get thank god!)

I'm atm using 2 addons for resto:

- Perfect Raid (like GRID, but it's more colourful and perceptive for me)
- Clique (to assign shortcuts for habilities)


But one flaw, and i would really need to know this, is an addon to show the current time left on some HoT. For example, if i cast lifebloom 3x and the tank is full health most of the time, it's of no interest letting the bloom tick final, when this happens i need to recast all 3 ticks and it's a waste of mana, and lifebloom only ticks for 7sec, and if i'm also trying to keep an eye on the OT or the MT's group, it's good to have that kind of info.

Anyone know about this addon to show the current time left for the HoT's?

I have used Perfectraid since i started healing like 2 years ago and i absolutely love it.


Perfectraid is the green raidframest.

I definitively think it's an alternative to GRID and other raidhealingaddons, and if I'm not misstaken, Clique works with PerfectRaid too.

Indeed it does, that's the 2 i use i just don't know how to put the perfect raid to work properly in AV lol
