Raid MUST Haves
This is a list of everything you will NEED for Raiding (this also applies for Kara) – ofc, if you out gear Kara by a long way then you can drop somethings like the Food Buffs and Elixirs, but anything above Kara you will need them ALL
Deadly Boss Mods
Go into a boss, know the tactics, keep an eye out, 4 people don’t remember something, die, raid wipes – how can we prevent this? DBM to the rescue – knowing what the boss is exactly going to and when is a MASSIVE advantage and will mean much better chances of 1 shotting bosses and grabbing our purple loot – get it – no DBM, no raid
Omen
DPS and Tanks need this for sure – if as a DPS you look like your going over the Tank in aggro just stop for 5 seconds, you being out of the fight for a few seconds is not going to wipe us, what will is you being a complete tit and going over the Tank, getting aggro and wiping us all Razz Tanks – you can use this to make sure your aggro is well on top of everyone else – watch out with Omen too – its being almost constantly updated so make sure you keep up with the version number
Teamspeak
You need to be on Teamspeak – if not you can’t raid I’m afraid – its an easy to find, small download that works on both Macs and Windows so there really is no excuse, plus you might just get to hear me sing lol! The TS login information is available from Bealzebub – hassle him with it Razz
Flasks/Elixirs
You can chose to use either Flasks (last 2 hours and stay on even if you die) or Elixirs (last 1 hour, stop when dead – need both Battle AND Guardian types at the same time) – these can get pricey, true, but there are two ways round this – get the mats then have an Elixir Master (such as Titties) to make them for you (remember they can proc so you may well get a few extras), or get Aldor/Scryer, Cen. Exp. And Sha’tar Exalted for FREE flasks that can be brought with Marks of the Illidari (these drop in SSC/TK and above)
Oils + Other Weapon Enhancments
Depending on whether you’re a healer or DPS you will need either Wizard or Superior Mana oil on your weapon – get the mats, find an enchanter and these cost only a bit of copper and help a TON – easy as pie! If you’re a melee DPS or Warrior Tank think about poisons, sharpened weapons ect…. should cost peanuts again but provide a big advantage.
Food Buffs
Provide a massive advantage for all of us and cost next to nothing really, esp when you think your only going to use them on Boss fights – don’t be without!
Reagents
Bring lots! You wont need a lot of bag space, you wont be filling your bags with crap in raids, its just doesn’t drop – if you think you may run out, buy more! As a priest I’d take 150 candles, minimum to a raid just to make sure – if you think that is a lot, feel sorry for me as a Paladin with the amount I will have to carry round with me lol!
Health/Mana Potions
Don’t be afraid to use these! When bosses are on farm you will find that less of these will have to be used, infact in many fights none will have to be used. With Mana pots use them early, do not let your Mana bar get low, it could cost us a wipe if you go OOM and have a big cooldown on your Mana Potion left. With Health Pots, use them alternatively with Healthstones from the Warlocks.
